When you love design your fate is finding inspiration in all the places you’re passionate about. At I Do Linens we’re passionate about weddings and events. So when we were introduced to Ashley Buzzy McHugh and her beautiful calligraphy for weddings it was love at first site.
This month Ashley took the leap and officially launched the Ashley Buzzy Lettering + Press Shop. A go-to site for creative and beautiful stationery for home, bridal, office and everyday occasions. The site also spotlights the custom hand-lettering work that Ashley offers to clients that want something truly unique. Her designs are clean, fresh and above all timeless. We love that the shop is not only a source for dreaming up your perfect invitation or notecard but it’s a place that educates. Ashley has an open sales approach in which she shares her insights about calligraphy, types of paper and types of printing. Because of this her site makes her a “go-to” in all things pretty papers for pretty events.

“Ashley Buzzy McHugh is a calligrapher, printmaker and graphic designer based out of Atlanta, Georgia – but expect to find her elsewhere quite frequently. Known to most people as simply “Buzzy,” she was born in Denver, Colorado and raised in Atlanta. She completed her BFA at the University of Georgia in Graphic Design, with a unique emphasis on Fabric and Textiles. After college she married Collin McHugh, a professional baseball player, and they have spent the years since visiting the famous (and not so famous) baseball cities of America. She now splits time between her home and studio in Atlanta and Collin’s baseball career with the Houston Astros.
Ashley is passionate about the entire process of design: from the first spark of an idea to the intricate process of making it come to life. She is not afraid of a detailed task if it means that the end result feels organic, original and authentic. She finds it most important to preserve and share her uniquepersonality and voice through her work. Her process usually includes sketching in graphite, lettering in ink, refining on the computer and printing on a century-old Chandler & Price letterpress.
Ashley also works as the Creative Director for an alternative bridal show called The NotWedding. Along with vision-casting for events and scouting potential new cities, she designs the Inspiration Boards that NotWedding vendors nation-wide use to create their contributions.”

On the site you can even listen to the Spotify playlist of of all the songs that Ashley listened to while creating her current line of paper goods. Beautiful and super fun!
